A very special moment for Central West Flying Instructor and club member Matt Norgrove on Friday night 6th July when he was presented with the Alex McArthur Sheild for Outstanding Contribution to Flying by Jerry Trevor-Jones.

Matt has progressed through his RA pilots licence, to RA instructors rating and an instructor position with Central West Fying School, to having gained his GA licences and has now agreed to take on the management of the Central West Fying School – all within a timeframe of a few years.

The Award has only been presented by the club 10 times in the last 24 years, to members who have made an outstanding contribution to flying.  Matt sits alongside a small number of high acheiving pilots.
