As many of our members know, there is a long-running dispute with Bathurst Council about lease fees and tenure agreements. The Aero Club is a leaseholder and is affected by these proposals.
A meeting of leaseholders & a BBQ was hosted by AOPA at the Aeroclub last Wednesday 25th July 2018. AOPA Executive Director, Ben Morgan who spoke at the meeting is assisting leasholders with the battle. The meeting garnered much media attention with the local papers and TV stations all in attendance.
On the 1st August 2018, Ben released an open message to Bathurst Regional Councillors in the form of the youtube video below:
